waiting for test results

Anyone just feel like chatting about the ups and downs that go along with this?

Worse than having the cancer is the waiting. It is horrible!Once you know what you are up against you can deal with it, but the waiting is so nerve racking that when you do finally get the results it is such a relief. I had a mammogram on the 3rd of July, had a biopsy on the 22nd of July, had breast cancer on the 25th of July, and a mysectomy on the 8th of August, 2002. Right now, it seems like it was yesterday, but between the mamogram and the biopsy, it seemed like an eternity, but between the biospy and the results, it was like a lifetime, it still is in some ways, waiting for the next mamogram, wondering if they are going to find something and wondering when or if I'll ever have to face this nightmare again, wondering if the next time it will be caught in time or will this time be too late. It never ends. Good luck and I hope you have the best news!0

I agree, the not knowing is the worst part. Once you have your diagnosis you know what you are up against and can start your fight. I was diagnosed in April and have just finished my treatment (other than tamoxifen). I remember laying in bed and wondering what news the next couple of days would bring. Those days of waiting I felt like I was in a fog, just going through the motions. Once I heard my news I kicked my heals in and was ready to beat it. My faith in God helped me greatly during those few days and throughout this past year. Without it, I don't think I could have coped. Knowing I was in God's hands was a great comfort for me. I pray you get good news...Cheryl0
