Today is the 12th so you have already had your surgery and I hope all is well. I was diagnosed last Feb./02 with squamous cell and had part of my tongue removed last April. I am under closely monitored by my Dr. and currently have a lymph node that is swollen and being monitored. I have spoken to another women that had the same surgery but had her lymph nodes removed also. I am doing fine and you will too. When you are feeling well please let me know how you are doing.0

light, thanks for the response. I'm comfortably recovering my health and strenght. I had some nodes removed from my neck, in addition to the removal of part of my tongue, and I'm scheduled to receive a course of radiation early in April just to insure I have no cancerous micro cells left in my body. I'm feel a bit better each day, and with well wishers I even feel stronger. Hope your doing better and that all goes well with you latest challenge. Keep me posted.light said:Today is the 12th so you have already had your surgery and I hope all is well. I was diagnosed last Feb./02 with squamous cell and had part of my tongue removed last April. Patrick & Sherry Dillehay, thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers. I'm doing well at this point. I have some discomfort but I've always done well with pains that I know will eventually go away. Its nice to know that you've fully recovered your health and I hope it stays that way thoughtout all of your years. May God Bless You and Yours, psdtx said:Dear Joe,

Hope everything is going well with you! My name is Marvin and I had radical neck surgery in June of 2001 for the removal of squamous cell carcinoma on the left tonsil followed by radiation for seven weeks. I am doing great and hopefully so are you. The radiation will drain you so be prepared. I can be reached by e-mail at Marvano@aol.com or if you would like to talk on the phone, you can call me at 803-407-8355. I wish you the best!0
