Hi Heidi, it's Irene. I am so glad you are doing well. I have thought about you since the last time we"spoke". I hope you had a great holiday. I am kind of in the same boat as you. Are they still wanting you to do treatments every three weeks? If so, maybe they sould look into ding them every other month for a while before having you stop. Once my level went to normal, my Doc decided to do every toher month ans still monitor my labs. I will let you know howit workout. Feel free to emial me here or at my cs address. Again, I am glad things are good for you. Take care and God bless.0

Hi Heidi, CONGRATULATIONS! What an achievement, especially since you've had so much chemo! I only had 6 months and that was enough for me! I was stage III, 611 prior to surgery and after the 1st month of chemo was below 14. I took steroids during my tx and it wasn't until after I got off the chemo and other drugs that the after effects kicked in for me. I have severe joint pain, hard to sleep at night. I understand this is a common experience. If I was you I'd say enough of the chemo, get the book Beating Cancer with Nutrition by Patrick Quillin, and start enjoying yourself. Bombarding yourself with all the chemo has bad effects on its own and my doc told me more than 6 months of carbo was uneffective anyway. I'd say your little body needs a rest and a regeneration period. Whatever you choose, you have all my blessings. Sue0

My name is Rae. I was wondering if your treatment included taxol/carboplatin or carboplatin alone? Could you let me know by email
at drhats1@msn.com because I'm not real good with these thread messages yet.
