I'm a five year survivor of breast cancer and I want to assure those that have just gotten "the diagnosis" that there is life after breast cancer. I'm now 55 years old, happily divorced (I was diagnosed nine months after that), work as a legal secretary, and am active with Toastmasters International. I've given speeches about my breast cancer experience and the importance of mammograms in early detection of breast cancer. I feel very blessed to have been given a second chance. Like Gloria, I will survive (and then some.
