Son of Mother recently diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

    It's great that your mother has you to support her at this time.

    My story: During an xray before my Breast cancer surgery in Jan.02, the doctors saw two spots in my lungs. After BC surgery and 30 radiation treatments, the doctors decided to check out the spots. After biopsy and a PET scan, the diagnosis was lung cancer. On April 8, 2002 I had the upper left lobe removed. The other spot in the right lung is stable right now. Had a recent scare in October after a CT scan showed a spot in my liver. The spot was not cancerous after a biopsy and PET scan was done. I will continue with CT scans every 3 months checking the other spots in the right lung. I stay positive and go on with my life as before.
    I hope your mother has good results from the biopsy and try to stay positive for your mother.

    I hope this makes you feel better.I was diognosed with sclung cancer in both lung & liver ,that was in nov. I received chemo soon after I'm on my 5th round of chemo and my doctor said the cancer is gone ,so dont think theres no hope ask the doctor questions write them down so you dont forget ,I was scared in the beginning too.Your emotions really go crazy threw all this but hang in there .they have come along way with treatment

    I am today two years 1 month and I had a 4.5o cem tumor in my right lung. I had 3rd stage lung cancer inoperable plus two cancerous limp noids in center of chest. Was told I had 6 months to live. I was so mad at everything & god & went through the boo hoo stage & then decided I wasn't goint to let this happen & would fight this as hard as I could. I had chemo plus 37 shots of radiation. the radiation was shot in the center of my chest & right side. this kind of made my throat hurt when it came to swallowing food so I ate canned foods that were soft.kind of like canned spaghetti & meatballs now. It was soft to crush with my tongue. the story is one has to keep their weight up or even add weight because, this is the best sign one can have to know you are getting better. I also used a cheese shredder to take the orange skin of a orange & mix it with orange juice 7 days a week also "fresh" raspberrys these two things alone have an eligen in them that kills cancer.(fact) If Mom feels like sick or upset stomach then have mom take a ginger capsule. It will settel her stomach down. can get at a g.n.c. store or walmarts. I took ginger caps 5 days before any treatments & 3 days after treatments. (never ever got sick,sick). I was treated at texas tech & worked with houston texas cancer center because, they worked with herbs with there cancer treatments. to this day I still take 13 herbs to help buil Immune system. she can do it,I know it.
