Surgery Thursday

I'm excited and looking forward to having these expanders out and my reconstruction done. My new surgeon yesterday really showed me what she is made of when I mixed up my appointment time and arrived 45 minutes late. I felt so bad and knew I skewed her schedule for the afternoon. She realized it wasn't intentional and didn't make me feel wrong or annoyed with me. Instead, she was calming and we went over all the day-before-surgery info point by point without my feeling rushed. Then they gave me instructions and a map to find the surgery center and alerted them I'm on my way. A real class act.
Lesson learned... have someone else read you appointment schedule and make big notes where and when you are to be there. I really didn't know I was that nervous about driving 45 min to find her office until I had to do it and messed up.
This is hard for me to ask for I'm usually the one doing the giving) please consider healing prayers for me tomorrow at 9:30AM surgery time. My thanks and love,
Iris

May God be with you during your surgery guiding your surgeons hands. Giving her wisdom, and steady hands. May he give you a peace and hope that surpasses anything else on earth, and bless you with a speedy recovery. My prayers are with you, Iris. In Christ's name, Amen.0
