    Laverne,
I don't know much, but I do know that when we were having trouble with the insurance, I made an appointment with a social worker who is part of the cancer center where I am being treated. When you get to Charlotte you might try to see if they have that kind of support at the Cancer Center there.
Also in our small town we have what is essentially a foundation addressing issues for women. You can make an appointment there, even to speak to a lawyer for free (they donate their time).
    I hope these ideas help.

thanks for the ideas. I will look up the cancer center's in the charlotte area and contact their social work department. I need to find a new doctor anyway. I have an e-mail in to the chamber of commerce down there I will keep you posted.
God Bless and thanks for sharing the info.

My daughter lives in Charlotte - she had a mastectomy in May, is pregnant, and will be starting chemo at the end of this month.

There are two big hospitals, Presbyterian and Carolinas Medical. I think Presbyterian is the one with the cancer center. Charlotte also has a 211 system through United Way where you can just dial 211 and get information on the kind of help and resources you are looking for. I feel sure there is a Consumer Credit Counseling organization there as well.

    Good luck!

thank you so much for the info. I will definitely look into the United Way connection. I also did find the name of some credit counseling organizations. My dream is beginning to take a realistic form, thanks again for your info.
