I've taken paxil in the past-it's a anti-depressant. I got headaches taking it, but it works quite well with most. Sometimes they may need to adjust the dosage some. Usually takes about 2 wks. to see a difference. God Bless, Adele

Hi, dear, I am a lifetime anxiety/depressive and Paxil has been a miracle for me. I take it, my husband and our middle son, who inherited the disorder from me. Dang it! But, as you will hear, it takes from 3 to 6 weeks to take effect and you need to slowly withdraw when you get your feet back under you. It is not addictive and is not on the government's regulated list. Now, some people have problems. If you do, then try one of the other ones. Zoloft, Prozac, and I can't think of the other one. Some people do better on one of the others. It is surely worth a try as you can always stop it. Just stop over a period of one month. Now, I would also suggest you get a real good B Complex vitamin as well as E and C. You will be amazed at your energy level improvement. Best wishes, sister dear and hugs, Shirlann

Hi, I have been taking paxil for a few months , It has helped me a lot. I used to cry at nothing and everyones probs we mine also. I am better now with this med.It makes me a little sleepy for an hr.after I take it if I don't stay busy, so you might want to stay home for a little while and see if it does that to you. I think it is great med.
Also there is one called celexia and is not habitual. I was on it for awhile, was a litle more expensive so I had my Dr. to give me something cheaper.
Don't be afraid to take it, will do you good. love, hugs and prayers---Flo

Hi..I've been taking Paxil for a couple of months now for relief from hot flashes. It has really helped in that area. I haven't had any side effects, either. I'm going through RAD right now (halfway done) and energy level is low from that, but I feel really swell!!! Good luck. Dharmal

I am on paxil and have been for almost a year. It has been a god send to me. I used to be such a spaz over everything and I am like a new person on it. I love it.
