Going home to tell family

I am going home to tell my family. I have been going through this cancer stuff by myself so that I would not have to unnecessarily upset my Mom and Dad. Now that the cancer has reoccured in the liver I have no choice but to tell. Was so hoping to have good news to tell them. I just don't know how I will get through this weekend.

    Hi! It's very important to share this with your family. It's much too much for you to go through both physically and emotionally to go thru it alone. I didn't want to tell my parents initially. I was afraid of how they would react. They were worried but handled it well and were there for me when I needed them. I'll bet you feel releived after telling them. Good luck to you.     I'm so sorry you have to do this. I'm playing the waiting game as well. I have to wait for a biopsy to see if the growth on my chest wall is a spreading of my BCancer. I will keep you in prayer. You'll be surprised, I'm sure. Your parents might feel better knowing they can help you in some way get through this. If you would like to talk further, feel free to e-mail me anytime.

    I am so sorry you have had to deal with so much on your own. I too wish it was better news for them but you will have to have a good reason for not sharing this before hand. Don't be surprised if their initial reaction isn't what you expected. I would likely think that they will be upset for going through it all alone and now just telling them. The hardest thing I had to do was tell my father he would have to watch me battle after watching his own mother loose her life to bone cancer after her 10 year survival. She didn't want to tell us the second time around but did, no matter how difficult it was for her. I am so thankful that I am just so open I just can't imagine all that you have had to face alone. I need my family and everyone I can get to join Team Tara and we all should be doing what we can to help ourselves along the way. I hope that you find some peace in the truth and there should never be any need to with hold the truth from those we love, no matter how hard it might be.

    Glad you are telling your family, you need them for support. At one time I thought I could this by myself too, it is to much. I am sure they will understand and help you. You are in by prayers and I wish you the best.Love Emmi
