Hey Emmi, I also had low white and red blood counts after my chemos, I had Procrit shot for red blood cell count,let me tell you thats a stinger of a shot!!! The shots I got for white blood cell count I can't remember the name,I received them for seven days after each chemo...best of luck,,karin0

thanks for your reply,I did not run into this problem when I had chemo before so I got a little nerved up. Doc will call me in the AM, we'll see. Hi Emmi,
When we have chemo that is what happens our counts are low because fighting the chemo is killing good and bad cells at the same time.
I am glad to hear your doctors are on this and you may get a shot called neuprogen which sperns the bone marrow into making more white cells or spern it into action. It is quite normal it seems you hear of it allot. Best of luck through the rest of your chemo treatments let us know how your doing.

Thanks Tara, I got the shots, they are NEUPOGEN, like you said, hope they work so I don't miss my chemo treatment. Did not need them 3 1/2 yrs ago when I went through chemo so it kinda scared me, but I guess its normal. Thanks, take care....Love Emmi24242 said:Hi Emmi,
