Sounds like your husbands parents have a lot of guilt. He sounds like a great guy to go through everything with you. My husband was there for me ... we had only been married 3 years and we are closer now too. If the parents can't except your marriage or treat both of you with respect then it sounds like they will push he and you right out of their lives. Hang in there ... a good man is worth the struggle. Hi Kelly,
Sounds like alot of family tension. You are probably never going to be able to change their opinion of you. When you have to have contact with them, as the old saying goes, "kill them with kindness". Perhaps over time, they will at least be civil to you. Good luck!

You just vent any time you want!!! As if there's not enough to deal with when you have cancer, the other stuff in life keeps happening, too!!! You just keep on giving him a piece of the good life, and enjoy it yourself, too. Life is too short for that bull@#$% !!!! Try to calm down and have a good weekend! Cyndi

The last thing you need is to get worked up about things Kelly. It isn't fair they don't accept things they way they are but what is, IS and your concerns should be with that not with them. I am sorry you have to go through such things at times like these. I am sorry you feel they hate you but ranting isn't good. That is what I think someone is doing when capitalizing letters. You have come to a place you can do that, it is good to get it off your chest at the very least. But I hope one day you can sit down with them and talk to them being open and honest. Your right about one thing, it is there loss my friend, for you are truly the best part of their son, he married you.
    Be good to yourself Kelly,
    Tara
