I'm 17 with Hodgkins
I'm Erin, and I have hodgkins. I've had it for about 5 months now, and am very eager to talk to others with Hodgkins. I've had a rather rough time with chemo, and wouldn't mind taling to some people who truly understand what I'm going through. If you's like to talk, send me an e-mail or reply. Thanx!

Hi Erin:
I don't check into this site very often, but seeing your note made me want to write and give you some perspective on your ordeal. I am 43 years old and was diagnosed with Hodgkin's (late stage) in 1982, promptly underwent eight months of chemotherapy followed by a full month of radiation treatment. It was terrible at times but I was fortunate to have the support of my family, which gave me strength. Anyway, I just want to tell you that I haven't had any remission of the disease since then, which should give you and anyone reading this message hope; indeed we CAN resume a normal life if we fight the Hodgkin's and take care of ourselves after making a complete recovery. I know it isn't that easy for some people, and I am always grateful that things worked out for me this way. In any case, I just wanted to let you know that there is every reason for you to "hang in there." Best wishes for a complete and rapid recovery.--Gregory0 -

When I was 35 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins. I was stage 3, underwent surgery, 6 months of MOPP chemo followed by a month of radiation. My kids were 9 and 11 and I was so scared mainly for them. Anyway, I'm now 49 and feeling great! You're going thru a scary time right now but you'll do just fine. I know it feels like you're the only one with this disease now but there are lots of us success stories out there. Hang in there. Its tough but trust me, its so worth it. Life is wonderful!!
