Doctor said that I was terminal but its been 4 1/2 years and I am now in remission.! Don't give up hope. I'd love to hear from anyone going to their own trial and tribulations. My treatments consisted of CHOP (8 cycles), Dice (4 cycles), Rituxan (8 treatments), and several other combinations of drugs.

    Hi Joan,

I am so glad that you have been 4 1/2 years in remission!!!!!!!

I was diagnosed in November of 2000, even after having my first child in July of 2000. I went for chemotherapy, three treatments (CHOP) and four weeks of radiation. I just passed my anniversary, May 11th -- ONE YEAR IN REMISSION.

Although I have my family and husband around me, I still find myself having a difficult time just HEALING from all of this. I should be happy and thankful that I am alive, but I just take it one day at a time. Some days I just feel so depressed and other days I try and keep busy and stay happy. Right now I am a full-time mom at home and a part-time college student at home too. I am hoping to get my Associate Degree in Science in Community and Human Services. I hope to work as a nurse in oncology or perhaps a NYPD officer in New York. I feel that I have so much to give back as a survior!!

I hope that you are doing and feeling well.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I can also be reached at michele.cerami@verizon.net.

    Take care.

    Michele

I was diagnosed in March 2000, I had 6 chemo treatments, 6 weeks of radiation and by the grace of God I am here today writing to you. This is my first time in a discussion group. 41/2 years that is great and encouraging.
