hI,
I too had a lung removed four years. At the time my doctor stated I had no prognosis..I continued going to him for two years after surgery and the same..no prognosis. Basically I think you are your own prognosis. It will take your mom several months to get her strenght back, but if she doesnt like her onocologist, there are always others, some with better attitudes..Good luck and tell your mom their are survivors out there who were also informed of no prognosis.0 -
TO BOBZI AND MANNYD; I need to be able to contact both of you, as lung cancer survivors, to learn more of your stage, time of surgery, and experiences. Don't know how to contact you. I'm new here.....had upper left lung removed 12-4-01; doctors thought they "got it all" too; but there was one positive lymph node. Three oncologists advised me not to have chemo or radiationbobz1 said:I got this to late to give you any advise orquestions to ask.get back with me when you find out more///Im a 10 year survivor
saying it has not been proved the benfits outweight the risks in "early stage." Will someone please tell me how to use the site to get information? Thanks, and God bless.0 -
