HI Carlye,
Check out FAMILY CIRCLE mag. May 21,02 - on the stands now. They have info on that p.72 -think it will be routine soon for a whole body scan periodically.
I go to a cancer institute center but they do not do scans regularly as you got. Their theory is that scans are often inconclusive, needlessly frightening in these cases, and often do not show anything until symptoms show up too. I consider that - even tho THEY are the experts - debatable!! The same argument could be made for not doing mammograms.
I'll be asking for a PET scan when I return from a July/Aug vacation. Wouldn't want to know any bad news ahead of that.
They do always do blood tests every three months and my onco said the liver blood tests are an early warning flag - usually.
So many of you 'girls' are so young these days tho' and doctors should be checking you frequently.
Good Luck.

Hi Carlye, I am so happy for you.
I can almost feel the weight lift off your shoulders.
I will have my 4th treatment this Thurs. will be half way there.
I don't know what pet scans are either, but wish I did.
Sounds like you did a good job of "KICKIN BUTT" and will pray that THE BEAST will be gone forever.
LOVE AND GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU---FLO0 -
Hi Carlye,
Congradulations on your sacns being clear.I go on Weds for a pet scan this will be my third one. They are alot easier than all the individule scans. What they did with me was injected me then I had to wait 30 minutes then they scanned my whole body for another 30 minutes and that is it.I asked if they did my head to and she told me not unless the Dr. requests it.I was just glad I didn't have to drink that nasty barium anymore. LOL I always get a little nervous waiting for those results, but the DR. is great I can call and get the results before I go in for my appt.Hope this helped you out and let me know how you are doing.
God Bless
