I was so depressed I didn't know how it effected my husband ... we got into some petty fights before I realized I needed help. I'm on Zoloft which has really made a difference. What causes the problems between you and your husband? If it's your depression and anger see your doctor or a mental health provider ... if it seems like an attraction issue I suggest you both talk it over and seek counseling. I wish you the best of luck. My heart goes out to you. Jamie0

Thank you for responding, at least I know that I am not alone. I am in a breast cancer support group now and I do wish I had gotten into it sooner, but my life keeps taking these deep dips. I will get in touch with you!! Thnx so muchludasue said:Hi Rebecca. You couldn't have said it any better. 'No one prepares you for afterwards'. I have more anxiety than anger or depression; always waiting for the other shoe to drop. My email is ludasuesnout@yahoo.com if you want to talk. Best wishes, angie

I am on effexor 150 mg, was on 60 mg of PRozac. My husband says that I am angry and take it out on him. I have joined a breast cancer support group and am trying to find some type of group for him the "caretaker". They need support also. I see a counselor. Our main problem is that we have lost our communication.jmears said:I was so depressed I didn't know how it effected my husband ... we got into some petty fights before I realized I needed help. Support groups are a must....glad you found one. Get to know the women, and discuss all this with them....that's what they are there for. Don't ever be afraid to discuss anything at all with them, as they have all "been there." Also, something that helped me was a book my oncologist gave me, which can be purchased at any book store. It's called, "Living Beyond Breast Cancer....A Survivor's Guide For When Treatment Ends and the Rest of Your Life Begins." It is authored by Marissa C. Weiss, MD, and Ellen Weiss. It is so full of information....everything from the anger and intimacy, to insurance and recurrence. Fear, sadness, support groups for the survivor, family members caregivers....it's all in there, and I highly recommend it. I don't know if you can get a free copy or not, but mine was compliments of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. You might check for a website and request one, or check through your oncologist...they see the drug reps all the time, and may be able to get one for you. Best wishes to you!0
