My dear Paws, please know my heart goes out to you. I could not imagine the heartache of such a loss at such a time. Sometimes life seems so cruel. What can anyone say to you? Just that I am so sorry. God bless you and hold you tightly in His arms. Hugs and kisses from you sister, Shirlann0

Dear Paws: I'm glad you are feeling better and have a cancer free status. I'm also very sorry you lost your husband and friend. I too went through long months of treatment and my husband has been my source of strength. He also kept me laughing when that was just what I needed. Take it one day at a time. Our Lord is good and will give you strength. Blessings to you as you enjoy your granddaughter.( My 2 granddaughters are spending the night and have fallen asleep so I can now check out the website) Email me if you like at wendall49@yahoo.com0

Welcome,
We have so many new people finding this site everyday. I always think about how much I have gotten from reading and talking with others. I am so sorry for your loss and all the pain you have endured. I too am a 5 year survivor who has had to survive all the side affects, so it seems. I am battling once agian with the chronic pain leading into chronic fatigue then depression because it seems my life is at a stand still. I am so fortunate and very grateful for all the Doctors I have seen who are able to help all along the way. Some of us just don't fair as well as others but we seem to battle our ways through just the same.
There have been times in recent months that I have thought about ending my time here at the site. I have been hanging around for over a year and it has been recently that I have heard other women discuss ongoing problems they have suffered for many years. It is a releif knowing that others can understand the depths of my pain because they are there at the same level as me. I know with time I will find the support I need and hope you too can find it through this site, one of many out there. I think women should be commended for going out and reaching to others to fill the voids that are left within us. We all must learn about losses and living on through it all. I think we all share the need to learn to cope that is the best thing any of us can do for ourselves most of all.
Be good to yourself paws,

Helo, I am fairly new here also, but I welcome you also.
I have just had my 3rd chemo treatment, they're getting easier with each one.I had a mastectomy(left breast)2 nodes +.
My husband has prostate cancer and is in the bone. He also is taking chemo and doing well with it, but we know it is just for a little while.
So, we wake up in the am thankful that we are alive and that we know JESUS as 0ur friend.
am sorry you've had such a hard time, and lost a loved one, I personally know what that feeling is.
I lost 2 grandchildren and a daughter -in-law a year ago in Jan.
My hubby is wonderful to take care of me after I've had a treatment and am sick.
His cancer is worse than mine and he takes care of me, so I know what you mean about not being able to help your husband, I sometimes feel so useless, but there is nothing I can do, and have to except that.
so enjoy that grandchild as I do mine. and am happy for you that you are free from the beast.
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU, LOVE, GRANDMA (FLO)0 -

First of all, congratulations on 3 wonderful years! Do you realize that's 1,095 days?!? That's something to be very proud of...I know it hasn't been easy for you. I was one of the lucky ones, and only needed radiation, but it still wasn't fun. I'm so happy for you!
Then, on the other hand, I grieve for you, because it is so hard losing loved ones, let alone your best friend. I don't want to think of that day, but with my husband being 15 years older than I am, it's sometimes in the back of my mind. I just lost my grandmother SAturday nite, so I can at least relate to your support system being disrupted. She was my spiritual supporter, and an absolute rock. I don't know if you're religious, and don't want to sound like I'm preaching, but Grandma told me that God will never lead you TO anything that He won't get you THROUGH. That has helped me so much. You have to let yourself grieve for your husband, but when you feel ready, do something to celebrate his wonderful life...I'm sure he would want you to do that. Take care, and best wishes0 -
