Help!
I'm scared/worried it's BC.. I had a cancer Thymoma tumor removed on Nov 15, 2001.. Just got thru with radiation on March 15.. Been having really weird breast soreness and found a lump left side.. I'm also getting these weird tingling sensations thru out my body.. And my back and side feels like its on fire at times.. I had a breast ultra sound done on Mar 27th.. Can't do a mamogram until June, cause still healing from surgery/radiation.. They had to go thru my sternum, so its been painful. And tommorrow I will see a surgeon..Need help.. Where do I start? What questions do I need to ask? And what kind of test should I be asking for?? Kind of lost here.. Can anybody help me.. Also, have an appt with a Neurologist next week. Referred by my primary and radiation oncologist.. Feel like I don't have any control over my body.. Fay

Hi Fay,
Take a deep breath.....just breath. We tend to foget to at times & this just adds stress. The burning sensation may be just stress itself. I have this feeling under my left should when I get over-stress but ask your doc. I'v not had radiation so I can't help you there.
I aked to have all the blood tests, full body scan & cat scan. Try drinking some decaf green tea w/ honey. You may want to ask your doc about something to calm you a bit. I take 5mg of xanax when it gets bad at times. Hope I have helped.....email me if you wish, I am here to talk to ok.
God Bless

Hello Fay,
Sorry not to have seen your message yesterday when you were hoping for some feedback before seeing the surgeon today. I think Keri gave you pretty good advice. When my breast cancer was diagnosed in Nov my Dr ordered complete blood tests, lung x-rays, bone scan and liver sonogram. I was lucky it had not spread anywhere. I hope the Doctor today can ease your fears and give you a good explanation. It seems to me that drs in the USA explain diagnos and treatment options well. Better than here in France that's for sure. Anyway, know that we're all thinking of you and praying that all goes well for you.

Hi Fay,
Please read inkblot's posting for Wednesday, April 3rd. She has GREAT INFORMATION in her posting.
I hope that your surgeon's appointment went well. You have been through a lot and perhaps this is related to your other surgery/radiation. Keep us posted!
Love, hugs, and prayers!

Thanks so much for the support.. I'm going to have a mamo today, my radiation oncologist said it's okay.. The ultra sound didn't show anything.. So my surgeon wants to have a mamo, since I want it out.. I'm not going to waste my time with a biopsy.. I've been on sleeping pills for the last 2 months.. It's been helping me alot. I notice if I don't take it, my mind is going a mile a minute, and I wake up real tired.. I tried prozac and it helped a little bit.. Just didn't want to get addicted to it.. Thanks for everything, really need to talk to someone..
