Good Morning!!!
I thought I would take a few minutes to let you all know exactly what is going on....or at least as much as I know.
We met with the neurosurgeon last Thursday (3/7) and decided (of course) that we would have him remove this little tennent in my brain......I mean I don't want in there any longer than it needs to be!!!! :-)
The surgery was schedule for yesterday (3/12) at Loma Linda University. We were there, did all of the pre-op stuff on Monday and then showed up for the final stages yesterday only to have them postpone the surgery because they did not have any ICU rooms that would be available for me after the recovery time. DARN!!! (and they had just hooked up the IV, too!!!) Anyway, I am now scheduled to have this "Left Frontal Craniotomy" on Friday (3/15) at Loma Linda. I will try to have my husband post a status on how things went, but don't hold your breath!!! My goal is to be able to do it myself early next week as soon as I am home.
Guess that is it. I just have lots to do and need to get to it. So........until I am able to post again, just know that you all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I have learned through this latest ordeal, that God is ALWAYS there to hold our hands and lead us through whatever comes. As my pastor said on Sunday, sometimes we have to step out alone......but we are never alone for God is always there to hold us up. And He certainly does!!!! Keep the faith and hang in there. You can all do it-----its a piece of cake!!! (Yum.....cake!! Maybe I'll go and have some!!)
Also.......a B-I-G THANK YOU

Hi there Wendy,
I had a craniotomy a full blown skull base surgury done that lasted 11 hours and I was able to post a week later. So try to relax it can be done lol. Your head in general will not hurt where the inecsion will be but your face may feel a numb like youve had a shot of novacaine at the dentist. I had from the top of head side of face and tounge but its very workable. And hey your having it done at one of the 2 best locations in the world did you know that.=) Are they going to give you Proton Beam therapy after surgury or have you discussed this yet. If you have any questions im ill be more than happy to talk with you about the surgury. I know as having Brain cancer as my primary cancer it can be a bit hard to deal with. But it can be done and overpowered sooooo hang in there and know im out here thinking about you and your family and wishing you wellness.

Wendy, Thank you for keeping us posted about your procedure and status. How cruel to have you in the hospital all ready for the procedure and then cancel it and make you wait several more days. You've been through enough waiting!!! Hopefully everything will go well on Friday! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Looking foward to your next post. Many, many HUGS!!!!!!! Cathy0

Dear Wendy,
>>You can all do it-----its a piece of cake!!! (Yum.....cake!! Maybe I'll go and have some!!)
You are amazing!! How you can write such a matter-of-fact and coherent letter to us on such a weighty subject is, as I've already said, amazing.
You'll have lots of positive thoughts and prayers from many of us here who will be praying for success and future health for you.
Courage and love and prayers to you from

Dear Wendy:
My oncology nurse once told me that she thought it was my faith in God that was keeping me strong and as well as I am. I thank Him everyday for ALL my blessings - so many I loose count. I try not to ever complain about what I don't have; but be ever so grateful for all that I do have. I read somewhere that we should never put a question mark where God has put a period. We must just trust and obey. You keep that faith of yours going strong. Sometimes His answer is 'no' but he gives us so much, we shouldn't ever be downcast. May God continue to bless you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs and love, Brenda0 -
Dear Wendy
You've been around this site for so long posting as long as I have that I know we are now old friends. Thinking of you & what you are about to face makes me feel so mean spirited when I feel sorry for myself sometimes. Know that we are all pulling for you & a quick recovery. I will be looking for your posts next week.
Love & hugs
Pam0
