A New Hello

I have been looking at some of the correspondence on this site and am truly impressed! I am a second time survivor of breast cancer and have been looking for some place to share my thoughts and feelings. I hope some of what I have to say has meaning to some of you. I won't go into my whole history at this moment because I don't have much time right now. I did want to share something with those of you going through chemo. I know this may sound strange, especially from a 53 year old woman, but one of the things that helped me through my treatment was a PacMan game. I played this endlessly. I had a hand held game I took to treatments. All the time I played I was picturing the bad cells being eaten by my meds. It just seemed to be a mental booster for me. You never know until you try. Thanks for "listening" Eliana

Eliana,
Welcome,Everyone on this site have been wonderful and very caring and compassionate. It is such a blessing to be able to share with those who are going through what you have or have gone through it and understand just how you feel.Alot of us have web sites that tell our stories if you would like to read them and you might like to make one yourself. So welcome again glad you found this site.
God Bless

Hi Eliana,
What a neat idea to play PacMan with a vengeance ! If you read "Kitchen Table stories" by Dr Rachel Remen, she also mentions the importance of visualization as a complement to treatment. I loved her book !
Anyway, welcome back, Eliana, we need to share stories to help the "newbies" get through this as painlessly as possible.
Big hugs,
Cathy0
