Hi, thanks very much, after i posted that message i said let me try one more time on Amazon, and there it was just sitting there. I will let you know about the book. It is for my friend Maureen who is fighting breast cancer. It started last year, she's been through chemo, mastectomy, radiation. Everything looked good for a few months, she came back to work and just recently found lumps on her neck, which turned out to be more affected lymph nodes. So more surgery and another round of chemo are started.jmears said:Go to Amazon, click the Books Tab at the top of the page, then click Used Books at the top of the page. I entered the authors name and it shows one used copy for sale. The review sounds good. Let us know if you find it and what you think of it. Jamie
I am trying to do everything I can to help her keep a positive attitude, she couldn't find a copy of this book, so I was determined to find it for her.
thanks for helping me look !!0 -

While I was in treatment I read Lance Armstrong's book "It's Not About the Bike" and "Ice Bound" by the Dr with breast cancer in the antarctic, Jeri Neilsen. Since I wanted to read about survival these two books really did it for me and they had more to the story than cancer. Lance Armstrong has won 3 Tour de France races after his cancer. The very end of the book we find out how sick he was and what odds of survival his Dr. gave him ... and my mouth just fell open!! Just some suggestions for your friend. Good luck, Jamie0 -
Thanks for the book suggestions Jaime!! I picked up Ice Bound for Maureen last year as soon as it came out. I didn't think about Lance Armstrong, but that is certainly a survival story! And Maureen is of the same mindset as you, she wants to read stories of survival/triumph over cancer. Thanks very much, I will definitly put in an order for that one.0

thanks very much !! it is amazing how there were absolutely no copies to be found ANYWHERE on Saturday. I spent hours looking through every used, new, out of print web site. I did library searches. I sent emails to everyone who had the book listed as a reference...and nothing. Then vwalaa like magic a whole bunch of copies started appearing on Monday. Hopefully the copy I ordered will be delivered today.codyhaak said:MARY AMAZON .COM HAS THE BOOK YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. I WENT TO KEYWORD SUSAN WOLF STERNBERG AND FOUND IT. DEBORAH
