Hi!!

I just wanted to ask you all to please say an extra prayer for me and my family. I just got a call from my surgeon's nurse. Surprise......the spot looks suspiciously malignant and he wants to do a biopsy. I am to go in to see him this afternoon...of course, they want my husband to come with me. Doesn't sound too good, huh??? Well, I am going to ask about just having it taken out and then they can do whatever tests they want to on it. Anyway, if you can't tell, I am really nervous about this appointment. I will let you know more later today.

At any rate, I will appreciate your thoughts and prayers for the best possible outcome this afternoon.

    Wendy,

    My thoughts and prayers are with you too. This second breast cancer - not considered a recurrence - is fairly common.

    To encourage you, a friend had breast cancer in one breast with more than one node involved - then two years later - the other breast. It has been 14 years for one side and 12 years for the other. I have not seen her in a couple of years because we are no longer close friends as in college, but I believe she is as well as when I saw her in late '98.

    Wishing you courage for whatever you have to go thru AGAIN !
