metastasis to the endometrium?

no, not taking tamoxifen, but it was a good thought. I think it would be better if it is not metastasis, but a separate cancer, if indeed it is cancer.. wont know till almost Christmas..long wait... Susanjeancmici said:Susan - Are you taking tamoxifen? that may be causing the abnormal uterine cells because tamoxifen can cause uterine cancer sometimes. So it wouldn't be a metastasis - never remember reading about a spread to the uterus either.
Good Luck in your tests.

Just remembered that somewhere in this past year I've been reading messages, I seem to recall some of the women here mentioning abnormal pap tests which are the result of chemo and nothing actually wrong. Hope this will be your answer too.

Hi Sue. So glad to hear from you again. I've been wondering how you were! Sorry you're going through another scare! Are you taking Tamoxifen? Unfortunately, that's one side effect. I get an internal ultrasound every 6 mos. to evaluate for any abnormalities. Good luck with your biopsy. I'm praying for good results. Happy Holidays! Keep us informed. HUGS!! Cathy0

Hi Susan:
You didn't say but I was wondering if this
problem showed up as the result of a PAP test and if so, whether you had a repeat of the test before scheduling a biopsy?
After finishing up chemo and before beginning radiation, I had my gyn. check up and my PAP came back as a class II but leaning more toward normal. My gyn. said that 15% of PAP's produce a false positive and he didn't feel that it was anything to worry about. He said that the standard was to wait three months and repeat the test, since everything else looked great. I just recently had the repeat PAP and it was perfectly normal. Of course, I had the initial PAP just weeks after completing chemo and my oncologist felt that perhaps the test was just picking up some remaining
cell changes due to the that.
My gyn. also explained to me that even a very
mild inflammation can produce an abnormal result.
Hope this is helpful. It's difficult not to
worry and be afraid at a time like this but
we must try to remain focused and positive.
I've never heard of any routine screening test that was 100% reliable! Have you?
Continue to take good care of yourself and
keep us posted.
Love, light and laughter,
