Well I went to the surgeons this morning and he reoved my port. The procedure was a little uncomfortable but I have been thr much worse as I am sure many of you have to. I really am not sure how I feel right now but I will take it one step at a time. I do know that the good lord does not give us more than we can handle and he is by my side every step of the way,and has been thru all of this. Thank You Jesus. And please keep me in your prayers.

I had a Groshon Catheter... maybe what you had cause I had mine out in the DR. Office also. I hated that thing. It stopped drawing blood after 2 months (had it for6). I had two infections in the exit site and when the Dr. took it out the line snapped so he had to cut it out. The scare from the catheter is worse than from my lumpectomy. I rejoyced when it was out ... it is one step closer to getting back to a normal life!!! I admit tho I had tons of fear ... I actually took Zoloft for a couple months because I was crying and osessing all the time. I took myself off the Zoloft because it interfers with thyroid medication that I'm taking (I'm all goofed up) and I am OK. I think I know how you are feeling. Everyone told me it will get better ... and it did!!! I pray for all us survivors and all our doctors and nurses. God gives us so much strenght ... maybe sometimes he just wants to show us how much.
