Hi Mel. I had the nipple reconstruction and had no discomfort! That area is totally numb so there was no pain. My nipple was made from tissue they removed from within the reconstructed breast(I'm not sure how they did it!) I had a hard dressing over the nipple for 1 week to protect it from any trauma,or pressure. I had a 2nd procedure to make the nipple smaller, then the tatoo to give it color and will have another procedure on Thurs. to fix the nipple. It is receding into the tissue so the definition isn't as good as it should. None of these procedures has caused any discomfort at all. Good luck. I'm sure you'll be happy with your final results. It's amazing what they can do! HUGS!! Cathy0

Thank you for the info- though, I am feeling, actually feeling, pains in my breasts! Itching and sharp pains. I am not completely numb on my breasts and have not been since they "installed" my implants! Strange, huh? The most pain is from the tummy area where they took the tissue, but today am feeling much, much better. Will see the doc tomorrow. Did you have implants or Tram procedure?cruf said:Hi Mel. Hi Mel! I had a tramflap recon. My abdomen is my uncomfortable area. Hope you are feeling better. I never had any breast pain at all. The entire breast is numb! I guess I'm lucky ion some respects. The MD hasn't had to use a local when doing any procedures cause I can't feel them. Keep in touch. HUGS!! Cathycruf said:Hi Mel. I had the nipple reconstruction and had no discomfort!
