leave site and still chat

did you know that you can go elswhere on the net and still be in the chat room? Join the chat, finish at the site, but dont close the chat. It stays at the bottom of your screen, and you can keep checking if anyone is there. I also found my cursor keeps making the egg timer when someone talks on the chat line, so you can tell when someone is there. Now, if tony just makes the one on the bar flash when someone talks.....     Sue! I tried to exit the chat but didn't see anything on the bottom of my screen.Not only didn't I see the box but I couldn't get the discussion area back. I had to start all over . What am I doing wrong? I'm new to this computer thing! Thanks,

    i'm not sure i quite understand what happened to yu cathy, but i do know that it took me a while to realise that the innocuous looking bar at the bottom called netscape was the chat room' I can toggle back and forward from the chat to the discussion area...when the chat is open, just click behind it on the discussion area....maybe yu had closed the discussion area page? Not sure this helps but....love susan

    I just toggle between the chat room & the general discussion page too. You get the egg timer whrn a message is coming in. That way I can kill too birds with one stone. Love the chat line. It would be nice if a ferw more could jpoin. I usually manage to chat top NAncy, Wendy & Cathy quite regularly. Give it a go. It's a lot of fun. Love Pam
