My sister,age 53,breast cancer/mascectomy/implant infection!-take out! Chemo(s) since July'99, metz to liver. Dec 2000,stop chemos! Not working anymore! Referral to doc who does Hepatic Artery Infusion/St Pete, FL. Sm pump inserted thru incision in abdominal area, access to outside by sm port which enables drugs to be inserted. I dont know the names of drugs yet. She to be in hosp 1?-2days?. Pain similar to an-gi-o-plasty. Treatment should skrink or destroy/emobolize tumors in liver. She may have to have it done again??? She will have 1st treatment done Next Week. I will keep you posted. SCARY, cuz chemos arent working anymore now. Hair growin back, weighs 102 now,was 126. I need MORE INFO, she DONT WANT NONE! Info helps me & Mom so we wont be shocked with her treatments and prognosis. She dont want to talk about "it" either. BEST SOLUTION: Become a GOOD LISTENER without ANY INTERUPTIONS or comments. Hard to do when ya love someone soooo much & want to help that person!

Dad passed away 2/99, cancer of lungs,(smoker) metz to liver; we thought he had bad flu bug, he did too. Diagonosised TOO LATE.(at a loss of words now):o(

    My name is Sylvia. I have a similar Hisory I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct. of 1988. Then diagnosed with bone mets in Jan. of 1993. Then diagnosed with cancer in my liver in Feb. of this year. I was put on Taxol for a few months and they found the tumor got larger and now I just started the chemo AC July 23rd.
