    Proton Therapy for Breast Cancer
Proton therapy is a form of radiation therapy. It tends to be offered when breast cancer has metastasized to the brain. It is only offered at the University of Florida, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Massachusetts General in Boston, Loma Linda University Medical Center in California, Indiana University, and INTEGRES Cancer Campus in Oklahoma City. Many insurance carriers do not cover it. This web link might be helpful to those who want to know more about it. http://www.ehow.com/about_5459212_breast-brain-metastasis-proton-therapy.html

Yes, highly recommend it. Its a lot safer for other organs and areas not effected by cancer later on less chances of issues with them.

For what it is worth, there is a Proton place in Knoxville, TN, but my oncologist told me it cost $100,000 and most insurance does not pay.
