Hello all. Thank you for reading my post. I was diagnosed with lung cancer a few months ago. Just had my last chemo last week. Any advice on how to keep my engery up. Seems to be impossible. Is that normal?

Very normal. Standard eat well. Drink plenty of fluids. And exercise. Drinking plenty of fluids is so so important. Cleaning out the chemo with water. Exercise as much as you can as often as you can. Not necessarily going to the gym. We park away from where we're going. I take the stairs if it's 2 or 3 flights. It does get better the further out from chemo you get

I think it is the chemo working in the body doing what it needs to do. You are fighting the fight of you life and it is taking all of the energy to do the work. My advice is to rest as much as you can. I get up in the morning, as that is when I seem to have the most energy. Dr. Appointments, hygiene, do what I can in my home, which is not much right now, and other things before the energy drops. Eating fruit and Chicken breast, rice, cottage cheese and lots of water seems to help me. I hope this helps you too. I am 2-months out from chemo now and it is getting better. Take the time to let your body catch up.
