Multiple skin cancer removals at once

I was recently diagnosed with 3 basal cell skin cancers. I’m feeling really anxious about the surgery as previous Mohs surgeries have been really painful. I was hoping to get all 3 taken care of at the same time, but most places around me only do one at a time. I did find one location that would do 2 at a time . I’m just wondering which would be better? I feel like getting more done at once would be better, but will it be more painful. Has anyone ever had multiple Mohs surgeries in the same day? What was your experience like?

I would love to chat about your MOHS experience as I am facing surgery soon. This is my third cancer diagnosis in 11 months and this upcoming surgery will be my fourth surgery. I’m hoping to get a sense of what the MOHS surgery is like and why you say it’s painful? I thought you are numbed up? Did you need reconstructive surgery? Looking forward to hearing from you.

I had mohs surgery on my nose and i was numb with local lidocaine. I had no pain during or after surgery, but that was just one surgery.

My other problem is pre cancer on my lip. Does anybody know if u can have a punch biopsy or 1mm deep excision biopsy on the lip without nerve damage?

Hello, I was diagnosed over the summer basal cell. I had 1 big 1 on the top of my shoulder 3 across my chest, 1 on the front of my other shoulder. Not to mention across my nose. So iv had 2 surgery's and after having the biopsy done, I wanted it all don't at once! The lidocaine goes under the skin like lava it sucks! But we really do need to only do one at a time, simply because doing more than one is so hard on our bodies. If our bodies get over whelmed like that our body wont be able to heal itself right. Then more problems, which is the last thing that one needs! Good luck on your journey!!

I just had a punch biopsy on my nose, and it looks better than when they shaved the other ones.. I do have a stitch from it just 1, but it seems great!!

I just had Moh’s surgery for one cancer in September, and it took 5 hours because they had to go in 3 times. I would recommend one at a time because it can take a long time for one. Good Luck!
