MOHS on ear?
I have a persistent SCC on my ear that was treated by the low dose radiation method last summer, but it has returned. My next option is to cut it out (MOHS).
This is my concern. I don't have much "meat" on my ears and this lesion is on one of those areas. It seems to me that the distance between the skin and the cartilage is very thin. Therefore, if a MOHS procedure is conducted then we will risk cutting a hole in my ear.
Anyone with a similar experience? On the positive side, if I do end up with a hole in my ear then I might just get a piercing to fill it in. My daughters and granddaughters would be proud.

My lesion has persisted and grown since March. Had an appointment with my dermatologist day before yesterday and he cut out a large portion of the lesion for biopsy. Will have results within a week.
My suspicion is SCC, especially since the previous biopsy (June 2023) was positive for SCC. If so, I will opt for MOHS this time since the IRT (July-Aug 2023) did little more that feed this lesion.
My dermatologist appears to express greater concern for this lesion due to its location (hop, skip and a jump to the inner ear and brain) plus the fact that it did not respond to low dose radiation. We'll see.

Update Regarding my SCC Lesion. All previous biopsies have confirmed that this lesion is SCC. In June my dermatologist performed/conducted an EDC (cut and burn excision) on this lesion. A few days later it became infected but that was successfully treated with some type of oral antibiotic. However, within a month the lesion reappeared and the same dermatologist performed the same procedure earlier this week (24 September). He said that we will continue to cut and burn the lesion until it moves off the edge of my ear.
Check out the photo.

I had a lesion about the size of a half dollar taken off my ear. It has been a little over a year and it did fill in somewhat. I hardly notice it now but it was pretty invasive at the time. I have long hair, so that helps.
I’ve had seven skin surgeries in the last year over 100 stitches . I was wondering if you could get skin graft? I had graft on my eye and nose.
I hope it’s over soon for you ! It will heal0
