Enhertu and CA 15-3
my mother has breast cancer stage 4 which has metastasized to the bone and liver. She is currently on enhertu and she did the first cycle , however when they did blood testing for the tumor markers CA 15-3 was very high. Even higher than when she wasn't getting the treatment. Is this a cause of concern and indication that there is no response to treatment or is it normal due to the disease presence? Im very stressed about this .

Talk with her Oncologist about the test results. It could be that one month treatment may not be enough to show it's working. A liquid biopsy is just a reflection of what is there at the time the blood was taken. Rate of false positive? I'd also ask what is the accuracy of the test. What is the frequency of the testing? Monthly? Every 2 or 3 months?

Yes will do, thank you. Another thing is she's been complaining about constipation due to enhertu. Do you have any recommendations or any home remedies we can do to help relieve it? Her oncologist gave her fiber sachets, and it helped a little , but is there anything else we can do? Maybe some home remedies?
