Increased PSA

Hello everyone - first time poster. Had radical prostatectomy February 2022 (open). PSA undetectable until 2 days ago. Blood work came back at .23. Without thinking, had sexual activity about 1-1 1/2 hours before blood was drawn. Continence has been very good. No aches or pains or other symptoms. Can sexual activity cause the increase in PSA even after prostate removed? Thank you for any info.

I believe that the short answer is NO since, as you pointed out, the prostate is gone. However, a repeat PSA test is highly recommended. Errors do happen in the lab...

Assuming that the repeat PSA test will (again) show a detectable result, a PSMA scan is likely in your near future since you will want to know whether the cancer is still localized to the pelvic area.
