First concentrate on you getting well...

Although it is true having had Cancer and not having money put obstacles in your path towards adoption, it is not impossible....also being thin it is not a requirement....TRUST ME!

Children come into our lives in many different ways....sometimes not the way we plan for and in the obvious ways...Hang in!

My boys are from Korea and I am overweight :)

There are other countries without weight restrictions...actually China is flexible if you are open to a child with even a minor special need. We can email sometime in the future to discuss further :)

    GET WELL !

I you sound like what I’m about to go thru as I had the D&C and an ovarian cyst removed no issues with the cyst but she referred me to GYN /ONC FOR uterus removal…. So I have that appointment for November 29th AND IM SO NERVOUS… I am almost 61 and haven’t even started menopause yet said my GYN which is rare for that and she told me after the blood work so that is official so I also had the D+C so what will the GYN/ONC Appointment be like I mean this appointment they will have the pictures of my uterine walls and any blood work which I know was a CA 125 … please help calm my nerves … I do not want to unnecessarily have a hysterectomy if I don’t have cancer …. But if I don’t how long do I know if it could be possible? Do I just go and be checked yearly or every couple years… I have no family cancers my mom had hysterectomy after 6 kids and that was in the early 70s I think she had some abnormal cells that the Dr said let’s just do a hysterectomy just so there will be no chance of it turning into cancer… please talk to me I have no family and no friends nearby and everyone isn’t taking this as serious as me as I’ve always been and still are healthy please I d like to know how things went for you thank you

MarieAnne, first, just for awareness, this is an older thread from about 13 years ago. I would suggest starting a new one as I suspect some of us (at least me) get lost on posts and finding the replies and posts. All you have to do is click on "New Topic" in the upper right hand corner of the page and it will let you pick your subject and then you can post.

They should have sent the ovarian cyst out for testing to determine what it is, and maybe on 11/29 they will tell you what they found, but even if they find that it is cancerous the only way to find out what type and stage of a cancer you are dealing with is done when you have a complete hysterectomy. I was 49 and no where near menopause, and irregular bleeding after menopause is the most obvious sign of something is going on.

Are you saying your family and friends who do not live near you are not taking it seriously? I will say kudos to your doc that they took action to find out what is going on AND that they know to send you to a gynecololgic oncologist.

Please start a new thread as I don't think you will get a reply from some of the previous authors of the posts. Your feeling nervous is perfectly normal. Find out what they have to say and come back and let us know.
