HAs anyone tried or taken Protocel 23? Any success? Its quite expensive ($108 for a bottle, month supply, liquid you take up to 6 times a day with a lot of water)

It is supposed to flush out cancer cells and reduce the size of tumors

alos, quick update, I have decided to do the recommend radiation and chemo treatmants by my doctors but I will continue to research and do what I can on my end...I start with 28 treatments of radiation, every day monday through friday, with light chemo every monday after radiation. Then i take a month off, no treatment, and then start chemo once a month for 4 treatments....so through April....I effing hate this!! I'll ask Santa for a wig this Xmas :)

Much love to you all!

Diana

    Diana, I'm so glad you

Diana, I'm so glad you decided to do the treatments! I don't know anything about Protocel, sorry. Please make sure you ask your doctor before you take anything. It may interfere with your treatments.  Your schedule is very different than any I have seen. I wonder if this is the latest and greatest treatment approach. What kind of chemo will you be on? If not Taxol, you may get lucky and not lose your hair! :-)

Hang in there Diana.  I know it doesn't feel like it now, but this will be over faster than you think. I look back now and am still surprised that it has been 8 months since I finished the last of my stuff.

I hope your body tolerates everything well and you have minimal side effects.

    Love and Hugs,

    Cindi

    I agree with Cindi

If you are going to put yourself through chemo and radiation, you don't want to do anything that interferes with that. Hold off on those things until after you finish at least the chemo. One's first inclination is to throw the kitchen sink at the cancer, but unless you understand how everything works in concert with each other you might be defeating what you're trying to accomplish. Don't self medicate, even with antioxidants and probiotics, without letting your doctor(s) know what you're taking. How did you find out about Protocel? Do you have a naturopathic oncologist?

    decisions are hard

Hi Diana. I'll be having my first chemo treatment next Wednesday.  Every treatment/situation/person is different.  I went with my doc's recommendation of the "sandwich" treatment of chemo/radiation/chemo.  It will be 6-7 months before it's all done, but I'm worth the wait and so are you!!   I hope all goes smoothly for you.  Yup, Christmas will be a little different this year for sure!

I don't know anything about Protocel 23, but new experimental drugs are coming out all the time.  I totally agree with Cindi...check with your doc before taking any suppliments or any other medications.  I was told not to take anything that was not included in my pre-chemo packet...not even an OTC vitamin...without checking with them first.

Good luck, we're right there with you, and keep us posted.   ~LL

    Completely understand

Diana, I completely understand looking for treatments that will rid our bodies of the cancer. However there seems to be a lot of bogus treatments and claims out there. In googling this treatment I came across this post from Dr. Andrew Weil: https://www.drweil.com/health-wellness/body-mind-spirit/cancer/protocel-a-bogus-cancer-cure/

The standard treatments for these aggressive cancers like chemo and radiation are not easy but right now given the current state of research, they appear to be the best bet for most of us to decrease the likelihood of recurrence. That doesn't necessarily preclude including some types of supplements (with the knowledge of your treatment team). There are others who post here who are knowledgeable about this who may make suggestions.

((Hugs)) to you! We're all with you! Keep us posted!

Dr Weil did that post in 2010.

I think you could read a book by a nurse practitioner called "Outsmart your Cancer." It discusses all other treatments besides Chemo and radiation. Gene therapy for example. And protocel. All the FDA testing material on protocel.

See, I used protocel when I had epithelial adema carcinoma of the endometrial lining stage 2 of the uterus. I was a medical mistake. Four times the estrogen dosage cream. It went on for over 3 years. By the time I had a hysterectomy it was 5 years. The protocel 50 I took, shrunk my tumor 30% in 6 weeks, then 60% in 4 months.

The FDA declined it as a chemo drug because it was oral drops in water, not injectable. And it worked in 4 weeks, not 2 weeks as per FDA guidelines. I* also did Keto for Cancer diet. I had 4 tumors went to a lymph node grew 3 times the size of the original ( 4 and 5 mm each ) the lymph node was inflamed. I starved the tumor after 3 months, with the aided help of a kidney stone so I did not cheat on that diet.

I had over 8 different kids of tests, I am a CNA and an insurance agent. Pathology showed "negative for malignancy." Killed my tumor I stopped taking protocel 2 months before surgery. Big mistake. PH balance test showed drop from 7.5 to 6.0 in one month. I was really sick. Otherwise I worked the whole time, no side effects, never sick, just skinny.

Also no chemo or radiation. My oncologist said I didnt need it if I was negative for malignancy

Gene therapy is an option. There are other therapies. There are no statistics that the chemo or radiation used in any cancer works after 5 years. Because the cancer society does not keep statistics. Our Florida governor is changing that in Florida since he was aware of this and his wife had cancer.

here is a quote from Dr. Weil. Not much, and I urge you to avoid it. Protocel® is one of the names given to a mixture of chemical compounds developed in the 1930’s by a chemist named James Sheridan who claimed that that the formula came to him from God in a dream and would cure cancer and other diseases. He called his product Entelev® and eventually gave it to someone else for manufacturing and distribution. According to the American Cancer Society the name of the preparation was then changed to Cancell® and was marketed for about five years before the FDA got an injunction that prohibited sale of the product across state lines on the grounds that it was an adulterated, misbranded, and unapproved new drug. Cancell has now also been renamed, and as Protocel is being sold as a supplement that helps the body remove “unwanted and unproductive cells.”

What is the final assumption on protocell? Has anyone used it effectively to cure there cancer? Or is it a bad choice especially for someone already underweight?

hello noverholt, I just wanted to share the information the National Institute of Health, National Cancer Institute has on this:

    Short story:

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) did animal studies on Cancell in 1978 and 1980 and laboratory studies in 1990 and 1991. Laboratory studies using human tumor cells concluded that Cancell could not be taken in doses high enough to kill cancer cells in the body.

Hope this helps with the question.

    theloneconsumer,

I am sorry, but this is a support board for women and their families who rely upon us to give factual information based upon our own experiences, to help those in need. Please do not come here and push non FDA approved drugs or protocols that have not been shown ANY efficacy.

You may choose to use non FDA approved drugs or protocols, and that is your choice, but please do not push those things here.

You are an anonymous rando who is claiming things you cannot prove, pushing a drug that is not FDA approved to have cured caner, and trying to push these non-mainstream views here. I ask, why?

Trust me, if this drug was in any way effective the medical community and big Pharma would have produced it and people would have paid them ANYTHING to survive, much less be cured. After 5 years here, I have seen so many not survive so to give them false hope is CRUEL. I can think of nothing more cruel than to give false hope to those who are dying.

Please think again before you come here to push these bogus drugs. We care about our community and need to protect them.

    Denise

    I tried Protocel 50.

    yes it shrunk my tumor

then I did the keto diet and starved my tumor

four tumors left to my sentry lymph node. Grew three times the size and the lymph node was inflamed. I did a hysterectomy. The pathologist reviewed 6 lymph nodes in November 2022 and I was “ negative for malignancy. “. It was an Orlando health facility.

This is what I did. I have 5 cat scans and three transvaginal ultrasounds. In a year they documented the progression of the tumors. Over 4 years in my body.

There is no hoax because this is what I did.

I have professional results. If you have a doctor that doesn’t explain PH balance of the body and diet to you then that is a shame. There are people doing just fine doing these therapies.

I went to certified doctors visited oncologists and had surgeries. There is no hoax.

I gained 15 lbs in 2 1/2 months. After dropping 35 lbs to starve a tumor. It worked.

Good luck with your group of doctors.
