Any local support groups?
Hello, I’m looking to understand if there are any local community support groups for a caregiver. I am struggling with lack of anyone to talk to about what its like to watch someone you love in so much pain. I’m the daughter of a mother with ovarian cancer. Welcome any advice on where to go or resources I can reach out to. Thank you

Hi There! I am sorry that your mother is going through this. She definitely needs you to stay strong and positive for her. If you can accompany her to an occasional appointment or Chemo session you can ask what support group/s within the hospital or local area, that you both can join. They are open usually for family as well. My doctor recommended another survivor in my area that I could chat with. It definitely helps to reach out for support, even though everyone's journey will have differences.
Hang in there, show your love and support to your mother always, listen to her, and do not be afraid to voice your emotions to her either.
Best wishes,
Ingrid

Hi, my husband joins a monthly National care giver call through NOCC.
I hope this helps..
