Looking for information on/experiences with conservative treatment (Mirena/levonorgestrel)

Recently diagnosed with endometrioid adenocarcinoma FIGO grade 1 and had a Mirena IUD placed due to being at high risk for complications from hysterectomy. Does anyone have experience with this? Approximately how long did it take for relief of symptoms (bleeding, discharge) with this treatment ? What side effects were experienced? Did subsequent biopsies return to normal? Thank you.

SauceBox, some cancers can be treated with hormones while others cannot. I am honestly not familiar with this and am hoping someone with more knowledge can help educate us all.

How high risk are you, and what are the risk factors? Hysterectomy can be easily done laparascopically, with a vaginal incision and extraction. This is done frequently on women who would otherwise be considered high risk for surgery (very overweight, not great cardiorespiratory reserve, etc.) I would get a second opinion at a major medical center which performs surgeries on a lot of patients with your risk issues. Anesthesiologists are very good at managing surgeries on patients with risk factors, especially if at their center they see many patients with your risk factors.
