Remission

Well, I had my PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) the other day. The results:

PSA, TOTAL 

<0.04 ng/Ml

Looks like I am still in remission. This is my 5th year since RP. I am still continent. I am intimate with wife, but I have slowed down a good bit and cannot hardly catch her anymore. I have always said there is more to us than just us. Smile, I am.

    Great news hey remember me the nutcase who posted 10 times a day and was losing his mind trying to make a decision well I am five years in remission as well my PSA is 0.9. It went down from 7.0 it did take a year and a half to get down to 0.9 but I am at 1.0 right now no sign of cancer did I make the right decision to do radiation treatments if I can go back I would definitely have a surgery then here is why there are three steps to prostrate cancer if it is stage one or two the first step is surgery all goes well you do not need radiation am i right…… then if it happens to come back you can do radiation and that might knock it out for good and then the third and dreaded step would be hormone treatment most likely you won’t need that but I did skip the step one don’t let anybody tell you you can have surgery after radiation they made me think that I could and guess what we really can’t it’s very very dangerous so hopefully it worked out for me looks like it worked out for you Lighterwood congratulations I hope we both remain cancer free I just thought I would chime in ….

    Steve 1961: Good to hear from you. You are absolutely right, making a decision about a treatment plan for PCs is a difficult decision. Good luck on your journey. On another note:
