support for prostatectomy
Hi everyone,
I have recently been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of 17.2 PSA; Gleason score of 6; 0.33 PSA density. Due to high level of PSA, my doctor recommends a quick prostatectomy. Unfortunately, the procedure isn't done in my country, Ethiopia. I can't afford to travel to get the procedure done. Is there anything I could do to survive this cancer?

In your shoes I would approach the office of the Médecins Sans Frontières. They are present in your country.
Here is their link;

Do contact the authors of this paper to see what your options are; they are at the Oncology Department of Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital.
Among others, their paper states
Most (81.8%) of patients were treated with Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT), while 103 (75.2%) with radiotherapy, 69 (50.4%) received surgery, and 37 (27%) combination of ADT, radiotherapy, and surgery. Of patients who received surgery, radical prostatectomy was done in 58 (84%) of them, and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) was performed for 11 (16%). Only 7 (5%) of patients were treated with chemotherapy alone.
