Checking in...
I just returned from my semi-annual checkup and I continue to be NED, four years!
Secondly, pertaining to a conversation we were having a few months ago, when I reach my 5 year mark they will "graduate" me, their words for kicking me to the curb, cured. While I am sad that they will not continue to monitor me, I understand that is their policy especially since I fortunately did not have a recurrence or any major side effects. Of course, they will see me again if I develop symptoms or issues but they want my local doctors to monitor me.
Thanks all, for your support during the time I have been here, it means a lot to me, and I hope to continue supporting others.

Denise,
Such great news! I’m sorry that you’ll have to find another doctor next year, although it will be for a good reason. I hope you have something nice planned to celebrate this milestone.
Thanks so much for being one of the “stalwarts” on the Board and supporting so many others, past and present. We all appreciate it!

That is great to hear Denise. It has been a rocky road but here you are. It is so nice of you to share your good news, and come back to help the women here with your experience. Hugs!

Congrats on the continued NED road, Denise!
I echo the other requests to please keep in touch. Even after finding this board after a year out of dx I still think of all the information and support it gave me.

Thanks, all. 💙 My time here has been immeasurable in terms of what I gained from others, and the last four years would have been a very different experience without this board. I am grateful for all of you!

Hi Ribbons,
I remember you were dx just after me. We are always happy when folks pop in to let us know what is going on with them. There are quite a few of us still here who have passed this important milestone. Thanks for letting us know how well you are doing. ❤️

Ribbons,
Glad to hear that you're still doing well. I did transition to the "once a year" checkup starting next year after my last appointment, but I don't know how long those annual appointments will last with the gynecological oncologist. I'll have to ask when I see him next year.
