has anyone experienced numbness/burning sensations in breast and lower front rib area after chest tubes removal. It’s been 5 weeks after lobectomy and this crazy sensation is somewhat irritating.

Thanks

I had mine removed in October & I still have pain

Everyone is different so it’s hard to tell how long it’ll take. Be patient

The lidocaine patch is somewhat helping this numbness feeling ifrom the breast to the rib area along with Tylenol or Motrin. I’m truly trying to take the Lyrica only at night.

I had my ULL removed back in Nov. 2021. Nerve pains are still there. Incision still hurts, occasionally, it fire up a barrage of stabing for a little while . Wish you well and speedy recovery, each person has it different .

I had my chest tube removed at the hospital the day before my release on April 11th of this year.

I felt a jabbing pain until about 7 weeks after removal.

I use Tylenol and Gabapentin for minimal relief from the pain.

Hang in there, it will get better.

Yes along the rib from under rt breast all the way around tothe back. Worse at night. Burning and sometimes stabbing pain. I'm only 4 weeks post lobectomy so I know it takes a while. Narcotics worked but cant take them anymore. Voltaren gel numbs it pretty well. . Its by prescription. Ibuprofen does nothing. What a crappy surgery! I am slowly getting more energy and less pain.
