I have good news to share. I had MRI and CT scans last week and the results are good. I'm now 5 years out cancer-free. It took a couple of years to get my stage 4 colon cancer into remission. My cancer had spread to two lymph nodes, two tumors in my liver, and three in my lungs. I'm very grateful and hope my story can give some hope to this group.

Thank you for sharing! I really needed to see good news like this. Last year my husband went through a year of chemo, radiation, and surgery for stage 4 colorectal cancer and he is currently NED. Just a few months after his diagnosis my father had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He passed away on April 30th so a week ago tomorrow. I was laying down tonight exhausted from the last few weeks and stressed over next weeks scheduled follow up scans for my husband. I was thinking that I don’t know how much more heartache I can take and praying for good results to next weeks scans. Your post is just what I needed. Good news. I am so so happy for you!! Thank you for sharing.

    Bernice,

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. It must be terrible mourning your father and also worrying about your husband's health. Sometimes life gives us more than our share of heartache. I wish the best for you and your husband. Please let us know about your husband's follow-up scans next week. I'll be thinking of you two.

Thank you! It was 2 weeks on Tuesday since my husband's scans and we have not heard anything yet. I believe this to more than likely be good news. He has 2 really good doctors who are following him closely so I do believe that they would have called us by now should there be anything of concern. I'll let myself breathe a breathe of fresh air and try to think positively. Thanks again for sharing your good news! Keep us posted too because I will be thinking of you as well!
