I have to second the motion of MG here, both Crystal and Susan have been through a lot and always face daily struggles and situations most of us never have to think about. But they manage to go on and are an inspiration to the rest of us showing us "you can do this". Just a tip O' the hat here to these fine ladies, thanks for being an example of the power to overcome and go on.

Thank you for the vibes. Thanks to every single one! All of you are putting bright spots, bright stars in my days.

A Hospice social worker coming tomorrow so we can talk about Moving me.... I need more help, things are progressing,...or regressing, rather.

    Hi Curt,

Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it, and I know Crystal does too.

My secret is I have to stay busy every day, or I will start thinking about my condition and it will make me Very Sad.

I do everything on my little smart phone. Surf the Web, text, research, play games, watch horse races, etc.. So another CSN member is mailing me a tablet plus a keyboard. I'm Sooo excited! Feel like I will be moving up in the world! Lol :)

Cancer really takes away ALOT from somebody. Not just physical side effects we all have, but it changes your financial situation, eating, drinking, talking, like in my case. But it's the RADIATION that causes all the problems. Hopefully, they will come up with new technology other than radiation to kill cancer cells. If I did not get blasted with 75-80 gy's of radiation, I would not have a permanent trach and FT, and could eat and work till retirement. But it is what it is.

Thank you Russ for your thoughtful comments about Crystal and me. I believe God gives you the strength to keep moving forward, no matter how hard it is. It is extremely depressing to have your good health taken away from you, and gave no quality of life. But we all have our struggles, some worse than others. No, it's never eady, but God kept us here for a purpose. You can't curl up in a ball and cry. Where will that get you? Being sad, or feeling bad for yourself is a normal reaction. But whatever you have left from having cancer and treatments, you just have to manage and do the best you can. Helping or supporting others gives me alot of satisfaction. Like to put a smile on a survivors face, and give them encouragement. It's a difficult journey to a good recovery, since we all have to live with "our new normal."

    Hugs,

    Susan

Hey Crystal just a quick Hi and continuing to support you from a distance with well wishes and prayers, but I feel totally inadequate as far as accomplishing anything but I am just hoping you know that so many folks support you helps a bit anyway.

Thank you, dear Russ--------- but I cannot " overcome" or " win" against my Metastatic terminal cancer. It's here, I am experiencing it , it's miserable, it's advancing in me, it doesn't quit. There is Nothing to stop it.

why do you think I'm in Hospice ?

Today a Social Worker i and a hospice nurse are coming to talk to me and I'm awaiting that conversation.

    Thank you 😊

    Crystal, in Hospice.....

And in fact, I would really like to find someone else in my shoes to correspond with------ Is there anyone here on this forum same as me, with Metastatic HNSCC, and Terminal, very short time left Prognosis?? Anyone else here with the. same ?

    Crystal, in Hospice ...

I'm hoping someday, somebody will read this. I am an active member of this site. Was very close to litlcdoll, her name Crystal. She just passed away a few months ago Oct 2022, I think. And we messaged back and forth alot. Also close friends with wbcgaruss, Russ. Anyway, I met a person on here named Constance Hammond. Don't know her code name. She lived in Indiana, had sinus cancer, wore a trach. She was one of my best friends as I wear a trach too. If you have an info on her, please let me know. Also, I want to know who else has a permanent trach like me. Thanks for reading all this!! Hope you were not too bored!!!

Hello Suz, I hope someone on here recognizes this lady, I know you would like to talk to her again.

It's a bummer when we lose connection with someone.
