I just recently found out I have breast cancer...

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I am a 65 yo male with breast cancer on the left side. I had a mastectomy with no reconstruction. I was asking about it at first but decided I probably won't get any. I found the lump myself since the Dr's never check. The only reason I asked about it was because my sister and mother had breast cancer at a young age. I'm ER+, PR+ and HER-, which is typical of most males. One of 3 lymph nodes was positive. Since the margins were good and the lymph node cancer was very small they said I didn't need radiation. Since I got a 14 score in my Oncytype test, I am not getting chemo. So I "lucked out" on that. I wasn't looking forward to chemo. So, I'm taking Tamoxifen for the next 5 years, maybe for 5 more after that. Since the mastectomy was Feb 14th 2022, I'm not far into this.

So far no side effects but felt draggy in the beginning. I had my mammogram of my good (breast) on Saturday. It had been one year since I had it mammo'd. Hope everything turns out good. :)
