Immunotherapy in Endometrial Cancer: Expanding Horizons Online Presentation
I just watched one of the presentations that was delivered as part of the online Survive and Thrive event that woodstock99 told us about at in her post at: https://csn.cancer.org/node/324033
The session I watched was "Immunotherapy in Endometrial Cancer: Expanding Horizons" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdGrtoBCAao&list=PLJYcr5PhvvTtHfXENeX-RL2fvLZ_VtQvz&index=10
As someone who was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome after my surgery in 2016, I've been interested in immunotherapy ever since Keytruda was approved for all solid tumors in May, 2017. I haven't had a recurrence yet, so I haven't tried this or any other immunotherapies, but I've found it reassuring to know that I might have other options besides standard chemotherapy should my cancer return.
I was already familiar with a lot of the content covered in this presentation, but other information and statistics were new to me. For those who may be considering immunotherapy, I feel it's worth watching.
You may find other topics of greater interest than this one. See the full list at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU227GXMsHQ&list=PLJYcr5PhvvTtHfXENeX-RL2fvLZ_VtQvz

Since we have a number of members who have asked about immunotherapy recently, or have reported that they are taking one or more immunotherapies, I was interested in watching this presentation again.
If those considering/taking immunotherapy haven't seen this session yet, it may be worth the time.
One of the remarks that struck me more this time was that immunotherapy side effects don't occur on a consistent schedule, the way chemo side affects often do (e.g., my three days of leg pains on the third day after every carbonplatin/taxol cycle).
