    Lol, I am David. kinda derpy in personality….


    I am sure I am just worrying to much.

    I have the ENT at his office, then the radiology oncologist at her office 30 minutes from the ENT and the radiology oncologist is going to bring in a medical oncologist that may be located?


    Individually they are great, and I am confident it will all work out fine.

    ‘It is easy to fret and worry about “what-ifs”…lol

    Great David.

    It sounds like you have complete confidence in your team and are very comfortable in that respect.

    It sure is easy to fret but that is all part of the journey.

    David the best thing I can tell you is to have a completely positive attitude about all of this. Don't look at the cancer as an enemy. Look at this as an opportunity for you to learn from. One piece of advice I strongly give, since your doctors are spread out, is to make sure that they all really talk to one another and hopefully come up with a great game plan for you. That was the best thing about being at a center like MD Anderson. Everybody talks to one another, for the most part lol. It was fantastic to be able to reach out to any of the doctors to get answers during treatment. We had this great little app called MyChart that allowed us to communicate back and forth. I hope you have something similar to this because you will have questions throughout treatment.

    David, I am seconding Graham's advice. Be sure everyone is in contact and keeping up to date on your case. My ENT wasn't at the health campus with the cancer center but they were all together on my case sharing info, progress, scans, and schedules. Check with them they are probably doing that already.

    Well, after meeting with my ENT I decided not to do surgery.

    The risk vs gain did not seem to justify surgery.


    So, one step closer to starting treatment.

    I’m anticipating a busy next few weeks as everything get rolling.

    David thanks for the update, you have made your decision based on your doctor's input and are set to go.

    Congrats, and you are right things will get busy.

    So I lost track here are you getting just radiation or are you getting chemo and radiation?

    Chemo and radiation.

    Surgery was kind of the not required 3rd treatment.

    Either way take the surgery or take alternative options there will be pros and cons. You have to decide whitch are best fit for you.

    I had surgery and then went straight to MD Anderson for treatment. 33 radiation treatments and 6 chemo infusions. Today is my first CT scan after two months of resting after treatments. We'll see if things worked out according to their plan. My PET scan is one month later
