Fibromyalgia and Chemo?
Just wondering if anyone on here has fibromyalgia and if it was worse after chemo? I have had it for a long time but it was never very bad. I am almost 3 years from my last chemo treatment and it just seems like I have been more achy ever since. Maybe it’s just a long lasting side effect of chemo. Any thoughts?

I don't have fibromyalgia, but I have read that cancer survivors can suffer from chronic pain more than those who didn't have cancer. So it's hard to say if chemo worsened your condition, or if it would gotten worse just as a matter of aging. Here's an article that talks about this and notes the uterine cancer survivors are among those who often experience chronic pain post-treatment.

While my neuropathy occurred at the very end of chemo, my lymphedema didn't happen until about 2.5 years after treatment ended. So I know that there are side effects that can occur long after treatment.
You can try searching for fibromyalgia on this site to see what others have to say, even in the other boards. The search function has improved quite a bit in this redesign, although I still have issues with some aspects of it.
