Counter Spray is about as necessary as Those old Eve Douche kitsBluebirdOne said:Do people really buy "counter spray"?
I have been making do all my life with a fresh hot wet rag, no soap. I do like the foamy stuff for the toilet bowl, I must admit.

Nothing a little soap and water can't fix, right?

Belated B-day Wishes, another September B-day
Sounds like you had a good time on your birthday Deb 2. That is great. :-) I was visiting my son and his family almost 4 hours away. I was there for a week, but now I'm back. I hate using my phone for things, so decided to wait until I got home to comment on this board.
Deb 2, I have a September birthday also...10 days after you, to be exact. 9/19/59 is my birthday and I too will be 62 on that day. No plans for me that day though. That's OK. Birthdays are not a big deal to me. However, I am hoping I'll have a bit of a belated birthday "present" and that I'll have good news when I go in the following day for my CT scan and post-chemo labs. I will be sure to post how that all goes down. I have an appointment with my gyn onc the following day...video visit though, not in-person.
Birthday wishes to you also, Denise. I see your birthday follows just a few days after mine. Happy Birthday as well to anyone else with a September birthday. :-)

Don't you love all those nines in our birthdays? I always have!
I did not do too much for my birthday, truth be told. However, it was not like last year, when I lay in my recliner covered with ice packs.
It was the wildfire time, and I think poison oak was burning and floating in the breeze. Or perhaps I had some major, major stress hives.
The day of my birthday last year, I was terrified that our home would burn down and my family farm, so dear to me with the trees and outbuildings with my grandpa's tools and totem poles (he carved them) would go up in flames.
Abject terror!
The year before, I had a party out here and my band played, and we had about 100 people out to party, dance, and sing!
So....it's been a time of extremes. This year, I am well. Better than previous months. How long will my relative health last? Who knows!
But for now, all is good
Two days and it's YOUR birthday!
We will all look forward to hearing about your appointment on the 20th, and I hope that's a great birthday present for you!

Disney MovieBluebirdOne said:Best weather month of the year!
Hands down. In the Midwest around Chicago where I grew up and Michigan where I live now it just doesn't get better than September. Not too hot, cooler evenings, bugs waning. I try to have my gardens peak in late August and September because it is just so nice to be outside. My bluebirds have fledged and retreated back into the forest, but hummingbird wars continue for the whole month while they guard the feeders as they migrate. I have perennial ageratum that attract Monarchs as they also migrate south, peaking about this time of year. Some years it is like a Disney movie we have so many.

Happy Birthday all you September gals!
How about some Birthday updates...
Denise,
Loved your share of the activity in your backyard. I could visualize the page turning from the edge on the Disney still as the virtual paintbrush colored in all the bright colors of your garden wildlife. Wonderful World of Color, remember?
