Question about symptoms?
Hi I'm new here and I'm wondering if anyone has had hip and pelvis pain as a top symptom before being diagnosed with colorectal cancer. My health has been slowly declining for over 2 years I was sent to a rheumatologist last year and he diagnosed me with undifferentiated mixed connective tissue disease which basically means I have several issues of several different autoimmune diseases that being said in the last few months I have had terrible hip and pelvis pain I went to the ER and was basically brushed off and told may Be just a flare up from my autoimmune issues however it's getting worse and in the last couple of months I have discovered alot of blood in my stool and terrible abdominal pain and bloating with a loss of appetite completely and generally feel unwell. If anyone has had this kind of hip and pelvic pain before diagnosed if you could please reply and let me know what other symptoms you had if any. Thanks so much!

hsve you told the doctors of blood in your stool? That's shouldn't be there. They will want to do a colonoscopy
you should get that checked out.
I just called to make a gastro appt and told them about the blood however they can't get me in for another month do you think it's a good idea to just go to the ER about this I can't think of waiting a whole month with this going on its just getting worse do you think I should or would you with these symptoms?

Sorry you are having these issues. I had pelvic pain for 2 years and they kept thinking it was female problems many surgeries. Long story short...Ended up with Stage IIIc colon cancer. The pain was sooooo bad that I went to ER. You have to be an advocate for yourself. If you can't get into your gastro try your primary care doctor. He can order a colonoscopy. If you have an Urgent Care with you insurance you can also go there. ER if the pain is bad and request a colonoscopy. They may admit you and do it the next day. Do not let anyone ignore your concerns. It is your body and it's obvious that something is not right.
Please let us know how you are doing.
Praying,
Debbie

GD is right. It makes sense to be pro-active. A month is a long time to wait. By being pro-active you can take control of your health care and get answers more quickly. Good luck to you.
