Anyone else have a pten gene mutation ?
Hello
So we just got back for a meeting with the genetics doctor and talked alot about my dad's pten mutation in his cancer and I am wondering does anyone else have this ? Research on how to treat it seems to be rather limited the genetics doctor mentioned MTOR inhibitors would be good treatment in " theory " whatever that means . So I am just wondering if anyone else has this mutation and if so how was your cancer treated ? Last time went to oncologist he said targeted drugs wouldn't work on my dad so really looking for some information on this for the next time we see him thanks .

mTOR inhibitors are good to pursue. mTOR is a cancer pathway that needs to be roadblocked.
